The attacks against the independent media, in the first place against Confidencial, in 2008, and as of 2018, against practically all the others, undoubtedly lead us to think about the practices of those 80s. It should also be remembered that, as of January 1980, different rival parties of the fsln, first Trotskyist and Maoist groups and then the so-called "bourgeois" parties, saw at the same time how their members were threatened with aggression by the Sandinistas, and in some cases, outright prohibited.
